Photojournalism in Italy is a five-week program taught by Associate Professor Kim Newton. This blog includes student work from two classes, JOUR 203 – Photojournalism and JOUR 497B – Advanced Photojournalism. The courses focus on beginning and advanced techniques of photojournalism and multimedia while based in the Italian city of Orvieto. The program is administered through study abroad at the University of Arizona. Participating students attend from a variety of majors with the majority being journalism majors from the School of Journalism at the University of Arizona. The images posted here are a selection of student work from weekly assignments in Orvieto and field trips from across Italy. The images and multimedia projects are mostly edited and selected by students for posting on this blog. The complete assignment work for the Advanced Photojournalism students can be viewed by clicking on the students name under “Advanced Student’s Blogs.”
